Minimum Qualifications- Meets certification requirements of the State of Delaware for Middle Level ELA.
- Certification requirements of the State of Delaware for Exceptional Children K‑12 preferred.
- Successful completion of Praxis II exam.
- Teacher designated Highly Qualified in Middle Level ELA preferred.
- Teach ELA to students.
- Work with students in a middle‑school level placement.
- Collaborate with staff and parents.
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
- Prepare for assigned classes and provide written evidence of preparation upon request of the immediate superior.
- Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
- Implement the district's mission statement through instruction and action.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Provide educational services to students and parents outside the instructional day when reasonably possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
