Job Summary

We are hiring an RN for our 1B Unit at Edgewood Hospital. The shift is full‑time, 36 hours per week, night shift 7 PM–7 AM.

Job Description

The licensed registered nurse is responsible and accountable for providing evidence‑based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process. This is accomplished by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care according to ethical, cultural codes, and nursing practice standards while working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes. The RN delegates tasks appropriately to other licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members and demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy toward patients, families, and colleagues of all cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and licensed to practice nursing in the state where the job is located.
  • Meet all state‑required contact hours for licensure.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, policies, and perform mathematical calculations for medication administration.
  • Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
  • Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
  • Capable of critical thinking and problem solving in routine and emergency situations.
