DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years IR experience and Epic proficiency for a cardiac interventional radiology assignment.
Details- Interventional Radiology department setting
- 4x10 day shift schedule, potential start times of 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM, or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM with a designated day off
- On‑call requirements apply
- Potential to float between Florence, Edgewood, and Fort Thomas campuses as needed based on census or staffing needs
- Procedures include angiograms, venograms, PICC lines, port‑a‑cath placement, vertebroplasty, GI bleed management, embolization, biliary tube exchange, nephrostomy, IVUS, fistulagram, transjugular biopsy, and IVC filter removal
- Experience with thrombectomy for neuro cases required
- Uses EKOS, Inari, Penumbra, and Jeti equipment
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Minimum of 2 years of IR Technologist experience required
- ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
- KY license (KBMIRT) required; may be pending at time of submission
- License required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Must be able to scrub for procedures
- 2 supervisory references required
- Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including vascular, biliary, and neuro‑interventional cases
- COVID and flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only
- No cafeteria on‑site, though a refrigerator and microwave are provided
- Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
- Scrubs and apparel must be free of agency or brand logos
- Expect to work some holidays
- Any requested time off must be submitted upfront and reflected in the confirmation document
- First‑time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate
- Local radius is defined as 75 miles
- Returning staff must have been away from full‑time, part‑time, or per diem employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- A 90‑day system break is required after 1 year on assignment before returning as a traveler
