Position: Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) - Clinical Cardiology HVI

Job Summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for our Clinical Cardiology department located within Edgewood Hospital.

Schedule & Hours

Job Type: Regular

Schedule:

Full-Time – 40 hours/week, First Shift.

Responsibilities

As an APRN, you will provide care and treatment to cardiac patients under the auspices of a designated physician through a collaborative practice agreement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Initiate and evaluate diagnostic testing.
  • Document physical findings and formulate treatment plans and prognosis.
  • Identify problems, establish goals, and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Teach preventive health measures.
  • Coordinate clinical care, educate patients and families.
  • Support collaboration among various disciplines and agencies.
Education & Credentials
  • Master’s degree in nursing.
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification in a specialty area recognized by the Board of Nursing in the state where work is performed.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed as an RN in the state of employment.
  • Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.
  • Medical staff privileges as an allied health professional.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience & Knowledge
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge as a Nurse Practitioner in area of expertise.
  • 5 years of experience as a registered nurse.
