Job Summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for our Interventional Cardiology department located within the Edgewood Hospital.

• Provides care and treatment to patients under a collaborative practice agreement with a designated physician.
• Conducts patient assessment, initiates and evaluates diagnostic testing, documents physical findings, and formulates treatment plans and prognosis based on medical condition.
• Obtains health histories, performs physical examinations, identifies problems, establishes goals, and formulates comprehensive plans of care for patients.
• Educates patients and families on preventive health measures and facilitates coordination of clinical care among multiple disciplines.
• Demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all patient and staff interactions.

• Master’s degree in nursing with a National Nurse Practitioner Certification in an appropriate specialty area (e.g., Acute Care, Adult, Adult Psych Mental Health, Child/Adolescent Psych Mental Health, Community Health, Critical Care, Family, Family Psych Mental Health, Gerontological, Medical/Surgery, Neonatal, Oncology, Pediatric, School, and/or Women’s Health).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the state where work is performed.
• Requires Certificate of Authority and Standard Care Arrangement with collaborating physician; possesses medical staff privileges as an allied health professional.
• Certifications:
  
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Demonstrated skills and knowledge as a Nurse Practitioner in area of expertise.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a registered nurse.
