Position OverviewThe Fielding Coordinator will provide hands-on fielding, aircrew training, equipment integration, logistics, and sustainment coordination for U.S. Air Force Chemical and Biological Defense (CBD) and Emergency Management (EM) materiel solutions.
This position serves as a program office representative at receiving locations and works closely with Government organizations, gaining units, program offices, manufacturers, support contractors, and logistics personnel to ensure successful equipment fielding and sustainment.
Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison among the requiring office, Combat Developer, manufacturing and support contractors, program offices, gaining units, and USAF Major Commands supporting the design, fielding, and sustainment of CBD and Emergency Management equipment.
- Coordinate CONUS and OCONUS fielding activities and represent the program office at receiving-unit locations.
- Conduct on-site equipment inventories and functional checks as directed by the Program Manager and assigned logisticians.
- Perform fielding analyses and provide input to Materiel Fielding Plans, Materiel Fielding Agreements, and system support packages.
- Maintain integrated fielding schedules and coordinate equipment-fielding dates with the USAF Aircrew CBRN Combat Developer and other stakeholders.
- Participate in pre-fielding meetings and teleconferences to resolve gaining-unit questions and confirm program requirements.
- Conduct aircrew continuation training on equipment use, operation, capabilities, Aircrew CBRN donning and doffing, and contamination-mitigation procedures.
- Develop lesson plans supporting aircrew training, safety, and other required programs.
- Support the development and maintenance of training materials, Technical Orders, and user guides.
- Conduct New Equipment Training and Mobile Training Team refresher training for deploying forces at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Coordinate the procurement, packaging, kitting, shipment, tracking, installation, and sustainment of CBD and Emergency Management equipment.
- Support hands‑on fielding and logistics activities involving respiratory/ocular and percutaneous protection materiel solutions.
- Maintain equipment installation records and custodial files supporting supply, equipment, test‑measurement, and diagnostic‑equipment accounts.
- Assess fielded‑system reliability using maintenance data and field surveys.
- Maintain current maintenance manuals and Technical Orders associated with USAF Aircrew Flight Equipment.
- Track and report the status of support strategies, fielding documentation, provisioning plans, and Integrated Logistics Support documentation.
- Coordinate and execute fielding In‑Process Reviews and identify and recommend solutions to fielding issues.
- Prepare fielding reports and issue documentation for Government leadership.
- Maintain electronic records supporting property accountability and compliance with applicable DoD policies and regulations.
- Represent the program office on Integrated Product Teams and participate in Branch, Service, Joint, and CPE CBRND meetings.
- Review, coordinate, and track meeting action items and respond to fielding‑related inquiries and taskers.
- Support preparation of weekly Significant Activity Reports for leadership.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 9 years of Aircrew Flight Equipment and CBRN modernization experience.
- Completion of the basic USAF Aircrew Flight Equipment or Aircrew Life Support Apprentice Course, or equivalent DoD training.
