Compensation for this role: $80.000.00 - $95,000.00, commensurate with experience (Relocation assistance is not available.)Shift: 1st shift, On-site Monday through Friday
Summary:
Using the Gill Documents (i.e.: GMS, GOS, GWI) identifies/purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, parts, services, and supplies necessary for the operation of the Company. Important considerations given are the most effective cost consistent with the quality standards, specifications, and manufacturing schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Selects, interviews, and analyzes potential vendors to determine factors that affect ability to provide needed parts, materials, and/or services. Determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices and most favorable terms, recommending only those vendors that meet established Company standards.
Prepares and issues purchase orders, follows up on orders placed, verifies and/or expedites delivery, approves payment, resolves problems with vendors, and maintains all necessary records and documentation.
Maintains positive vendor relations.
Interfaces with various other departments such as QC regarding rejected materials, Engineering concerning substitution of materials and/or other indirect departments for supplies required to maintain operations.
Reviews ERP-material requirements and releases Purchase
Requisition s for approval.
Supports and collaborates with Maryland’s procurement personnel.
Performs special projects.
Works in a safe manner following all departmental and plant safety rules. Reports any unsafe work conditions to the Safety Manager, supervisor, or management

Qualifications and
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent training and years of experience.
Eight (8) years or more of related procurement experience in a manufacturing and standard cost environment.
Medium to advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
Company ERP system experience – SAP Preferred.
Strong Analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills sufficient to read, write, understand, and communicate the company operating procedures and policies.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
