Job Description

The role is part of the Edgewood Quality team and supports product areas while leading the internal audit team and overseeing the corrective action system.

Responsibilities
  • Work cross‑functionally with P and T, Manufacturing Engineering, Production and Service to resolve in‑house, customer and supplier quality issues.
  • Deploy corrective and preventive action management throughout the supply chain with root cause analysis to safeguard product and customer experience.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining the QMS to ISO 9001, including completing internal audits and supporting external audits.
  • Implement first‑time‑through measurements at key manufacturing points, report weekly results and root cause analysis.
  • Perform in‑process and final assembly random audits, publish results and conduct feedback sessions for corrective and preventative action.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to design and execute necessary product qualification and validation tests, analysis and follow‑up activities.
  • Participate in developing and improving manufacturing processes for existing and new products; coordinate PPAP activities.
  • Analyze product performance and report, supported by the Quality Analyst.
  • Drive and implement plant‑wide quality system improvements under the direction of the Quality Manager.
  • Lead and participate in problem‑solving meetings using approved formal tools (8D, PDCA, etc.).
  • Lead PFMEA/Dynamic Control Plan activity and ensure all failure modes in process are identified and addressed.
  • Support key quality and management system processes such as NCR, CAPA and ECN.
  • Lead training activities on quality‑related procedures.
  • Provide functional expertise to other support functions on quality‑related issues.
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Comply with all applicable corporate and regulatory export control and security regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education/training – Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent; ASQ‑CQE and/or sufficient education and experience to perform duties).
  • ASQ‑Certified Quality Auditor a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified a plus.
  • Experience – 3+ years in quality assurance within a high‑technology manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electro‑mechanical systems manufacture preferred.
  • Strong capabilities in quality planning and analysis, statistical tools and data analysis.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or higher; ISO 14001 environmental management experience an asset.
  • Previous experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment desirable.
  • Knowledge/skills – Excellent oral and written communication; strong analytical approach; facilitation of team problem‑solving with interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SAP ERP.
  • Experience with management system implementation, process mapping and flowcharting.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

This position may require sensitive security information (SSI) access and vetting via TSA. A U.S. Personal Security Clearance may also be required.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $67,520 to $151,920 per year, variable based on location, skills, job‑related knowledge and experience. Incentive compensation opportunities may include discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
