Job Responsibilities:
As an Audit Associate, you will be an integral part of our Audit team. You will be assisting the experienced Auditors in the examination of financial statements, internal controls and accounting systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Participating in audit planning and risk assessment activities
Conducting substantive testing and analytical procedures on client financial information
Documenting audit work and findings in accordance with firm standards
Collaborating with team members, including Managers and Partners, to complete audit engagements within established time frames
Assisting in the preparation of audit reports and recommendations for clients
Contributing to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies
Qualifications:
Accounting degree with the academic qualifications to sit for the CPA exam (generally 120 hours minimum) or 2 years public accounting experience
Strong academic record with a solid understanding of accounting principles
Prior public Accounting work or internship experience is desirable
Excellent analytical and technical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must have reliable transportation in order to drive to client locations for audit assignments. Local travel will be required and out-of-town travel may be required at times
