Part-Time Concessions Stand - Braemar Arena

The position of Braemar Arena Concession Stand Staff is responsible for providing superior customer service and quality concession stand products to all Arena patrons. The Concession Stand Staff will also answer phone calls for the Arena and give information on birthday parties, facility rentals, skating lessons, open skating, fees, hours, etc. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the concession stand itself and the equipment/utensils used.

This position reports directly to the Braemar Arena Assistant Manager.

• Instrumental in offering a safe, clean environment to prepare and serve concessions to health department standards.
• Complete inventory sheets at the end of the night.
• Answer the phones promptly and give complete and accurate information regarding Arena hours, rentals, skating lessons, open skating, birthday parties, etc.
• Utilize point of sale computers to account for sales.
• Refer phone calls and Arena patrons to other staff members or other facilities that may be of assistance in meeting their needs.
• Immediately notify Supervisor on Duty in the event of an emergency or an alarm in the Arena.
• Immediately notify Arena maintenance personnel in the event of a complaint regarding Arena safety or cleanliness.
• Handle and count cash and credit card transactions.
• General Office/Administrative duties as assigned.

In order to continue to meet the ever changing leisure needs and desires of the Edina residents, specific duties of the Arena Staff may change at any time as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Manager or Director of Recreation.

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Previous customer service desired, but not necessary.

This individual must have excellent customer service skills, including professional appearance, be able to effectively meet and deal with the public, must be able to make quick and accurate arithmetic computations, have good communication skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, able to handle multiple orders and duties at one time and stay even tempered.

The position is performed primarily indoors within a temperature-controlled environment.
