Position OverviewLooking for a way to make a difference in the lives of students? The candidate hired for this position will provide assistance to students and support for teachers in the implementation of daily lesson plans and activities.

With the focus to support and advance the Edina Public Schools' mission, vision, and core values, the Educational Associate for Special Education assists teachers and supports students with academic, social, motor, behavioral, health, life skills, and other functional tasks. Educational Associates for Special Education work one‑on‑one and with small groups of students in instructional reinforcement and student support and learning assistance.
Education and Experience Requirements- Associate's Degree or at least two years of post‑secondary education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the Para Pro assessment
- Experience working with students
- Experience working with diverse student populations
The hourly wage for this position is $23.00 per hour.
Benefits- This is a temporary/casual position. Eligible employees will participate in the state's largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
