Environmental Engineer, Environmental Compliance
We invite you to bring your engineering experience into play as you continue to expand your career and make a direct impact with a team that addresses the remediation of environmentally impaired media, particularly soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor. To succeed in this role, you must be a registered PE and have 10+ years of environmental work experience, ranging from site characterization through remedial implementation and site closure.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with and support interdisciplinary engineering design teams to develop and implement multi-discipline solutions for soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor remediation projects, using in-situ and ex-situ technologies
- Participate in project scoping, costing, proposal preparation, and client presentations
- Establish work procedures and schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, and vendor/subcontractor lists
- Significant role or independently manage proposal preparation related to service lines, sectors, key accounts, and/or growth initiatives
- Prepare contract and design drawings, specifications, and bid documents for environmental remediation projects
- Plan, design, and manage fieldwork to support remedial designs, including sampling of soil, sediment, groundwater, and vapor, and quality assurance activities for remedial construction
- Review and analyze cost and cost‑control progress, financial and other site‑generated data to evaluate project status and compliance
- BS or MS in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering degree
- 10+ years of environmental experience, ranging from site characterization through remedial implementation and site closure
- Registered professional engineer (PE) in one or more states is required
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and programs
- Position encompasses both office work (technical design, project/task management, data analysis, and report preparation) as well as fieldwork

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $151,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well‑being, professional development, and work‑life balance.
