Position: Full-Time, In-Office

Gilbert Mechanical is seeking a Mechanical
Intern to support our project management team and gain hands-on experience in commercial mechanical construction. This role provides exposure to HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects while working alongside project managers, estimators, engineers, and field personnel.

• Assist Project Managers with the planning and coordination of construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Support estimating efforts with takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Help track project schedules, materials, budgets, and documentation.
• Attend job walks, project meetings, and site visits.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
• Support project teams in maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Gain real-world experience in construction project management.
• Learn about HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.
• Work with experienced project managers, engineers, and construction professionals.
• Develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in construction, engineering, and project management.
• Organization and attention to detail
