A highly respected, well‑established manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to lead company wide tax compliance and serve as a trusted advisor within the finance function. Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all organizational tax compliance activities
- Prepare S corporation and partnership tax returns
- Oversee multi‑state sales and use tax filings
- Support personal property tax assessments and reporting
- Manage exemption certificate compliance, book‑to‑tax reconciliations, and M adjustments
- Handle rental fleet and fixed asset depreciation reporting
- Maintain and optimize tax setup, configuration, and testing within the ERP system
- Respond to user tax inquiries and assist with system enhancements and improvements
- Support federal, state, and local audit requests
- Participate in quarterly estimated payments, cash planning, and annual tax planning initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency within tax workflows
- Monitor changes in GAAP and tax regulations and ensure timely adoption of updates
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership on projects and strategic initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience; a blend of public accounting and industry experience preferred
- Strong expertise in income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong system aptitude with Microsoft Office and tax software
- CPA preferred but not required
