Relationship Manager (Enterprise Retirement Services)

Department: Enterprise Retirement Services Location: Edina, MN Salary Range: $125,000 to $150,000 DOE

First International Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join our Enterprise Retirement Services team. This role serves as a trusted advisor to retirement plan clients, primarily ESOP relationships, by providing strategic guidance, responsive service, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of retirement plan clients, providing service, support, and strategic guidance.
• Support retirement plan and ESOP client relationships by coordinating service needs, facilitating plan reviews, responding to inquiries, and partnering with internal specialists.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, prospective clients, business partners, and centers of influence.
• Identify opportunities to expand relationships and connect clients with additional products and services offered through First International Bank & Trust.
• Coordinate account onboarding activities, documentation preparation, and implementation support.
• Prepare for and participate in client and retirement plan review meetings, providing recommendations and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with Retirement Specialists and internal partners to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Support business development through networking, relationship building, and community engagement.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and retirement plan best practices through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Approximately 5-7 years of client relationship management experience within retirement services, financial services, employee benefits, wealth management, consulting, or a related industry preferred.
• Experience managing retirement plan, employee benefit plan, ESOP, or institutional client relationships preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing and growing client relationships through consultative service and solutions.
• Strong business development, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional service to a diverse client portfolio.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business technology platforms.
• Retirement industry certifications, retirement plan experience, or advanced financial services experience preferred.
