Commodity Trader

Northwest Grains International, LLC is an international trade and development company based in Edina, MN. The company is focused on trading commodities and operates out of 7400 Metro Blvd, Edina, MN, United States.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commodity Trader at Northwest Grains International, LLC in Edina, MN. The Commodity Trader will be responsible for daily trading activities, monitoring commodity markets, financial analysis, hedging strategies, and sales within the commodities sector.

• Purchase and trade bulk commodities
• Build relationships wuth both internal and external customers and vendors
• Apply logistical concepts such as tracking and tracing cargo, transmit times, diversions, etc.
• Understand and apply trade policies and applicable trade rules
• Communicate frequently with customers regarding pricing changes and closing values

• Trading and Commodity Markets expertise
• Finance and Hedging skills
• Sales experience in the commodities industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Understanding of international trade practices is a plus
• Advanced negotiation and relationship skills
• Positive and professional attitude
• High attention to detail and strong planning skills
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• The ideal candidate will be highly self motivated, determined and result driven
