Fairview is looking for a Painter to join our team at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. Patch and paint interior and exterior of the facilities in a craftsman-like manner. Maintain a database of interior and exterior finishes, including paints, stains, wall covering, flooring, tools and equipment. Prioritize and manage workload, effectively communicate with management and key stakeholders both written and orally.

• 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
• Day shift
• No weekends

• Maintain knowledge of and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Actively participate in creating and implementing improvements.
• Order paint and fabric supplies for general maintenance by completing work requests.
• Receive estimates on materials and labor and assist reviewing invoices and records as needed.
• Strip and refinish wooden and steel assets (desks, tables, chairs) according to accepted application guidelines.
• Provide information to departments regarding color selection, quality, quantity and cost of paints, stains, and wall coverings.
• Store, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials according to established procedures, observing all safety precautions.
• Apply wall coverings (wallpaper, plastic boards, etc.) and maintain records of all paints and wall coverings applied throughout the facilities.
• Communicate with departments on the coordination of work.
• Be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Use Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, CMMS and other company‑supplied software and equipment.

• 3 years practical on‑the‑job experience.
• Must be able to effectively use Accruent TMS CMMS to manage service requests.
• Driver's license.

• Post Apprenticeship Program completion.
• 5 years practical on‑the‑job experience.
