Job Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Skilled Nursing Facility regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our busy TCU Transitional Care Unit in Edina, MN - Aurora on France.

16 hours per two weeks
Day shift
Every other weekend

Aurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in the heart of Edina, MN. Located conveniently near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. and is on a bus line. Aurora has 136 units offering a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Responsibilities:

• Provides skilled nursing care such as implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operates medical equipment, and charting practices.
• Lifts and transfer residents as needed, Initiates emergency treatment as needed.
• Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff.
• Updates RN with current observation and completes documentation of resident health status.
• Communicates changes in residents conditions to relevant individuals.
• May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans.

• MN LPN licensure.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers (3 week grace period for BLS).
• Able to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Previous healthcare experience.
• Comfortable using computers, handheld devices, phones and fax machine.
