As a pivotal member of our office-based vascular and interventional radiology practice, the NP is crucial in upholding our commitment to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. The focus is primarily clinical, with responsibilities including assessing, diagnosing, and educating patients, yet it carries the potential to expand into procedural work. Working in collaboration with a team of expert healthcare professionals, they ensure the highest standards of care, reflecting our status as a leader in vascular and interventional radiology.
This is a full-time working Monday
-Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM role to split time fairly equally between our Edina and Woodbury locations.
- Work primarily with peripheral vascular patients.
- Evaluate a wide variety of patients.
- Perform and document clinical history and physical examinations.
- Order appropriate laboratory, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures.
- Interpret results and determine a suitable treatment plan, collaborating with supervising physicians as indicated.
- Instruct patients and families regarding implications of results and rationale for treatment plans.
- Support nursing staff by relaying results and returning patient phone calls when greater depth of knowledge is required.
- Serve as a resource to referring physicians.
- Complete job required training and comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws).
- Maintain prompt and reliable attendance.
- Work in clinic, office, or surgery center during business hours.
- Travel independently within the clinic, office, or surgery center; frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping, or sitting for prolonged periods may be required.
- Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines.
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner.
- Prioritize workload while remaining flexible to meet daily operational expectations.
- Apply logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Understand and execute a variety of instructions.
- Effectively operate equipment and use the phone system.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Travel to other work locations if required.
- Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as an advanced practitioner (general or specialized) from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current state license as an advanced registered Physician Assistant or an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certification.
- Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
