We’re looking for a Hospice RN – Regional Support to join our team. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide direct care to patients and support to families, while also serving as a floating clinician—temporarily assigned to different hospice branches based on census needs or staffing gaps. WhatYou’ll Do
- Deliver high‑quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patients
- Manage and implement individualized plans of care
- Support and lead interdisciplinary team members (LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)
- Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs
- Accurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with hospice protocols
- Educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety
- Participate in the on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours care as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care team
- Assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance
- Travel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs
Schedule & Travel:
This role typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional on‑call responsibilities. Travel is required and may include:
- Regional travel required, including overnight stays within a multi‑state area or up to a 100‑mile radius, based on assignment needs.
A company fleet car is provided for eligible employees.
About YouQualifications – What You’ll Bring:
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long‑term care, or oncology preferred)
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience (not required):
- Hospice and end‑of‑life nursing experience
- Skilled in clinical assessments and compassionate communication
- Strong critical thinking, flexibility, and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working in varied environments with shifting needs
- Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
- Calm and supportive in crisis situations; skilled at family engagement

Compensation may vary within the salary range provided based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications and department equity. Gentiva provides associates with a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package, of which base pay is just one piece.
Salary Range – $82,
