Job Overview

Martin Luther Care Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care and Long‑term Care). This role provides hands‑on care and support services for our senior patients at our spacious care center in Bloomington, MN.

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus, is located in East Bloomington, MN near woodlands / wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs.

• 48 hours every two weeks
• Evening shift, offers evening shift pay
• Includes every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday) and holiday rotations
• Full benefits are offered for a 48‑hour / two‑week schedule

• Assist residents based on individual care plans with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers, and respond to call lights.
• Check and record vitals per the community patient‑care model.
• Perform AM/PM/NOC cares, including peri‑care and catheter care.
• Turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without other persons or mechanical assistance.
• Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system.
• Seek to resolve resident and family concerns.
• Receive and give report to appropriate staff during various times in the work shift.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, report malfunctioning equipment to maintenance, and answer phones in a timely manner.

• Active as a Nursing Assistant or Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date; or hire into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Pre‑CNA job for Nursing Assistants and be granted a 4‑month post‑hire period to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
• Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers.
• Experience as an HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, or Resident Assistant.
• Work experience in a customer‑service setting.
