Red Balloon Urgent Care is a new urgent care facility dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric healthcare services to children of all ages. Red Balloon Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a 0.6 FTE position. We prioritize quality care, convenience, and compassion, striving to make a positive impact on the communities we serve.

Position Overview

As a Nurse Practitioner at Red Balloon Urgent Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to pediatric patients during evening hours. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where your expertise and skills will contribute to improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients presenting with urgent care needs.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and conditions in accordance with evidence-based practices and protocols.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating follow-up care as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  • Provide patient education and counseling to promote health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota.
  • Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
    - Primary Care (CPNP-PC) or Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
    - Acute Care (CPNP-AC).
  • Proficiency in conducting thorough physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating differential diagnoses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
