Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Puttshack USA opened its first location in 2021 as an upscale, tech-infused mini golf experience. Puttshack combines groundbreaking technology with world-class food and full bar in a cool environment. The experience is about having fun together.
Position SummaryPuttshack is looking to attract a diverse team of fun hospitality associates who care deeply about creating an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience. The Barback position is crucial to our bartenders as they ensure everything is present to serve our guests efficiently. They also ensure the dining room, bar, and service areas are clean, sanitized, stocked, and visually appealing. Barbacks assist bartenders in clearing the bar top, cleaning glassware, and restocking items needed to deliver a world-class experience.
ScheduleOur venues are open 7 days/week, typically from 11am-1am with some variations. Scheduling preferences can be accommodated when possible, but they may not always be guaranteed. All positions are variable schedules, typically between 15 and 30 hours per week depending on business needs and individual availability.
Position Responsibilities- Bring your A Game each day
- Maintain a pace sufficient to keep up with different levels of guest visits
- Clean and stock glassware and other items (napkins, straws, etc.) around the bar area
- Assist bartenders with refilling bottles, prepping garnishes, etc.
- Clean spills and/or broken glasses and keep areas tidy, complying with safety and sanitation guidelines
- Take direction and be a team player
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those in the Associate Handbook
- Other projects or duties as assigned, including side work, opening, and closing duties
- Must be 18+ years of age to apply
- Prior experience in hospitality or related field
- General knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and various spirits
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must obtain any certifications required per local or state guidelines
- Safely and effectively communicate to perform and follow job requirements
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, including stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
- Ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally move and lift up to 30 pounds
- Work in a confined, crowded space with high noise levels and various temperature levels
