Bakery Helper

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Hours:

Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

• Make lasting connections with customers.
• Prepare bakery products including donuts, cakes, and breads.
• Fill and rotate cases and displays (may involve heavy lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep shelves full.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary store.
• Work with the team on all tasks necessary to have an awesome department.
• Arrive promptly for shifts and work as scheduled.

• Friendly and outgoing; promotes customer service for the entire team.
• Experience working in a bakery.
• Knowledge of pastries, breads, ovens, and good food.
• Completed Food Safety training.
• Motivated to grow a career and continue learning.

• Frequent: lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling over 50 lbs., walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting; repetitive motions such as turning and bending.
• Equipment operation: scanner, scale, label machine, mixer, oven, donut fryer, donut glazer, pan washer, bread slicer, scraper, knives, box cutter, baker rack, pallet jack.
• Mental: judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills.
• Environmental: extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces, working with hot grease.
• Occasional lifting/carrying over 50 lbs.; equipment operation involving calculator, climbing ladders, kneeling.
