About the Role

Talbots is a leading specialty retailer offering women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. The associate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and building lasting relationships.

$13.20 – $16.40 per hour (USD)

Responsibilities
  • Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring relationships both internally and externally.
  • Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships, including active use of Concierge.
  • Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas, including clientelling/outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet the needs of the customer and business.
  • Seek to understand customer needs and wants with curiosity and confidence through intentional conversation.
  • Share current products and fashion trends with customers to appropriately wardrobe, inspire and build trust.
  • Actively participate in community/store activities and events that promote the Talbots Brand.
  • Lead/supervise others on occasion and open or close the store as required.
  • Professionally represent the brand image.
Qualifications
  • Driven to create, build, and cultivate relationships with customers and the community, focusing on prospecting and establishing a strong clientele.
  • Strong ambition and passion for achieving goals, both individually and within a team.
  • Cooperative, able to work in a diverse work environment.
  • Passionate about selling and seeks organized and thoughtful ways to drive new traffic into the store.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, proactively contacting clientele to sell in a timely and relevant manner.
  • Professional, assertive, and friendly with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Technological aptitude to navigate POS, computer, iPad, and handheld systems.
  • Available at least 20 hours per week.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, moving regularly, and standing for extended periods.
  • Able to bend, reach, stretch for product, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds.
