The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a part‑time Aquatic Fitness Instructor for our wellness program held at the Edinboro Legion Pool through the YMCA. Are you creative, energetic, and fun‑loving? Do you love the water and fitness? If so, please read on!

As an Aquatic Fitness Instructor at our Edinboro location, you assist members in making a healthy lifestyle change and build self‑esteem through water fitness. Always alert around water, you provide personal attention, support and motivation.
You are friendly and patient as you ensure the safety of participants and employees at all times. You lead water fitness classes with enthusiasm and motivate members to commit to long‑term participation in your classes.
You implement fitness class plans based on participant abilities and keep the area clean and in order. You are also conscientious about keeping records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations. As someone who loves your job, you happily attend and participate in all training opportunities and program activities.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PART‑TIME AQUATIC FITNESS INSTRUCTOR- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification or obtain within 60 days of hire
- Experience as an instructor or participant in aquatic exercise classes
- Love for water fitness

PART‑TIME WORK SCHEDULEThis typical schedule for this part‑time position is 3‑4 hours per week. Classes held Mon/Wed/Fri mornings at the Edinboro Legion Pool through the YMCA.
