Job Title: School Bus Driver

Reports to: Transportation Services Manager

Description: School bus drivers transport students to and from school and to/from special events such as field trips. They are responsible for adhering to a route schedule and prioritizing passenger safety.

• Following the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops
• Being alert to traffic and weather conditions to ensure passenger safety
• Regularly checking vehicle safety through pre-trip and post-trip inspections and monitoring vehicle condition while driving
• Monthly reporting of fuel consumption and mileage
• Responding to emergency and non-emergency situations
• Reporting delays, accidents, and emergencies
• Enforcing conduct and safety rules on the bus
• Maintaining a clean vehicle, including weekly washing, sweeping, and dusting

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Excellent driving skills
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass physical and drug tests
• Must obtain required clearances
• Experience working with children preferred
• Patience
• Excellent communication skills

• Class B CDL (required or willing to obtain through GM Training)
• Passenger and school bus endorsements and air-brake restriction lifted

• Position Type: Part-Time
• Salary: $23 Per Hour
