Retail Director - Onsite at Driscoll Children's Hospital

Now interviewing a Retail Director to work at our location within Driscoll Children's Hospital! We’re looking for positive and friendly team players who genuinely love great food and want to provide superior service!

Our Retail Director is responsible for the daily operation of the assigned account. Maintains compliance and operational excellence in retail, production, and patient services. Acts consistently with the values and beliefs of Luby’s, supporting our Mission Statement. Maintains professional relationships with colleagues, clients, customers, and partners.

Responsibilities:

Ensure Food Quality, Safety, and Compliance
- Maintain high standards in food preparation, presentation, sanitation, and regulatory compliance; enforce proper handling, storage, and hygiene practices.

Oversee Kitchen Operations and Inventory
- Manage purchasing, inventory, cost control, food production systems, and minimize waste while ensuring efficient preparation and consistency.

Lead and Develop Staff
- Hire, train, coach, and retain team members; delegate effectively, promote accountability, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.

Manage Administrative and Financial Functions
- Handle scheduling, reporting, record-keeping, audits, and financial responsibilities including cost control, cash handling, and accounts management.

Deliver Excellent Guest/Patient Service
- Ensure high-quality service, address concerns promptly, support special requests, and create a culture focused on satisfaction and hospitality.

Requirements:

Minimum of Associate Degree or 3 years experience in Food Service Management in a Hospital or Hotel Setting Able to function well in a fast paced environment, good multitasking abilities with attention to detail

Proficient with computer operations, excellent financial, budgetary and accounting skills

Experienced in client relationship management, able to communicate effectively at all levels
