Bert Ogden Edinburg Cadillac Internal Service Advisor

Description

Writing internal service repair orders for new cars and used cars, dispatching work to technicians, and subletting work if necessary. Prepare repair orders and estimates for internal Bert Ogden vehicles for service work.

• Utilizes Vehicle Reconditioning Software Rapid Recon and keeps updated with proper entries.
• Maintain "Time to Line" (TTL) under 5 days as reported in Rapid Recon.
• Follow the used car process from start to finish as established.
• Report discrepancies and delays on vehicles immediately.
• Provide daily status reports on all vehicles in process.
• Maintain individual RO’s below 30 and ensure all receivables are collectable.
• Verify warranty and recall status of vehicles.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.
• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtain approval signatures and enter RO into service database system.
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtain customer’s approval of estimates; provide contact telephone numbers; answer questions and concerns; arrange towing and temporary transportation.
• Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers’ publications.
• Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
• Follow complete Bert Ogden Service process with every service transaction.
• Perform cashiering duties, including processing credit card payments, taking cash, and giving change as necessary.
• Perform any additional requests from service management.

• Equipment Maintenance, Lifting, Problem Solving, Reporting Research Results, Quality Focus, Productivity, Estimating, Product Knowledge, Customer Service, Safety Management.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Relevant education in communication, time management, and following direction is an asset.
• Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Regularly required to talk or listen, sit, use hands for fingers, handling, or feeling.
  • Performed primarily at a desk in an office setting with frequent clerical responsibilities and interaction with managers and employees.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.
  • Occasional attendance at social gatherings.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Other Requirements:

  • Must be 21 Years-Old or older.
