We are seeking a full-time Board-Certified Pediatric Surgeon to join a comprehensive children s hospital program within South Texas Health System Clinics in the McAllen/Edinburg, Texas area. This opportunity offers competitive compensation and the chance to build a thriving pediatric surgery practice in the rapidly growing Rio Grande Valley. You will provide a full range of pediatric surgical services including neonatal surgery, pediatric trauma, and minimally invasive procedures while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary pediatric care team.

Practice Setting:
Children s hospital program at South Texas Health System Clinics
Support / Care Team:
Multidisciplinary pediatric specialists including intensivists, hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and subspecialists
EMR / Technology:
Cerner electronic medical record system
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pediatric surgical care including neonatal surgery, trauma, and minimally invasive procedures
Collaborate with pediatric specialists, hospitalists, APPs, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in academic activities, including teaching and research, supported by a new GME general surgery residency launching in 2027
Manage inpatient and outpatient surgical cases and share call responsibilities
Document patient care effectively using Cerner EMR

Qualifications
Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery
Completed Pediatric Surgery fellowship
Active or eligible Texas medical license
Spanish language skills are a plus but not required
