Minimum Qualifications
The qualifications to be considered as a non-tenure track, part-time lecturer are a master's degree in Counselor Education or a related field of study from an accredited institution and years of experience the area of course content. Candidates also must meet SACSCOS primary or alternate qualifications (e.g., licensure and/or school counseling certification, 5 years of experience in course content) to teach certain counseling courses.
Discipline Specific
Required Qualifications Preferred Qualification
Doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision or a related field of study from an accredited institution. Teaching and practical experience in the area of course content is desirable, as well as the ability to use technology to support teaching and learning. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and/or Certified School Counselor is preferred but required for certain counseling courses.
