Position Summary
School of Art & Design:
Graduate Teaching Assistant – FTE 0.50.
Location:
Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Desired start date: 09/01/2026.
- Provide feedback and/or grade student work.
- Monitor and proctor course activities.
- Lead and/or supervise laboratory, discussion, or recitation sessions.
- Assist students during scheduled office hours.
- Perform clerical tasks associated with course instruction.
- Currently admitted to the MFA graduate degree program at UTRGV.
- Be in good academic standing.
- Be registered full‑time for the semester: nine credit hours in fall, nine in spring, or six in summer; or be performing supervised research with a UTRGV faculty member.
- Be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill remaining degree requirements.
