Science Teacher Grades 6-12

We are hiring for the  School Year.

Salary: 1720 hrs‑12 month – Academic Year Full Time.

Shineforth’s Charterhouse School is a place where Virginia’s kids with special needs can get out of their comfort zone and start to get out into the world. Our population is comprised of children from ages 6 to 22, with autism and other neurological differences, emotional, learning, developmental, and intellectual disabilities, as well as other impairments. We maintain 8:1 ratios for student to teachers/support staff.

• Provide an educational environment where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth.
• Implement an instructional program that teaches science at the 6th through 12th grade level to a group of students with autism.

• Hold or be eligible to hold a Virginia Teaching Certificate.
