We seek a part‑time lecturer for the UTRGV School of Social Work, beginning in the 2025‑2026 academic year. The role involves teaching in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Science in Social Work (MSW) programs and delivering quality instruction. Faculty are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarly work, student success, and the university’s mission.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver course content to BSW and MSW students, assess students, contribute to program curriculum, and participate in faculty meetings and activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications- MSW/MSSW from a CSWE‑accredited program
- Five years post‑master’s practice experience
- Social work license or eligibility for a license

Salary and BenefitsPart‑time lecturers are paid per course taught, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The appointment is contingent upon enrollment and scheduling needs. The position may require presence at multiple locations across the Rio Grande Valley. Retirement options include the Teacher Retirement System of Texas for eligible hours, with an option to elect the Optional Retirement Program for full‑time hours.
