The UTRGV School of Medicine seeks faculty members at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor for teaching Pathology. Experience teaching in an LCME-accredited medical school is preferred. Background should be in the discipline of Cell Biology and/or Pathology. The chosen individuals will assist in implementing a vertically and horizontally integrated curriculum utilizing active, team-based and problem-based learning, flipped classroom and self-directed study.
The SOM offers an innovative learning experience designed to instill students with scientific, clinical and research expertise of the highest professional standards. Faculty in biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences challenge students to grow. Teaching faculty who are practicing physicians in the Valley community participate as part-time or volunteer faculty.
The SOM is characterized by a competency-based curriculum that utilizes technologically advanced resources, including an interactive learning platform, a 15,000-square-foot Smart Hospital complex, and a virtual anatomy and histology laboratory. The program emphasizes improving health for individuals and the community.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) or equivalent with postdoctoral experience in the area of expertise.
