School of Music: Graduate Assistant

The School of Music is seeking graduate students for the School of Music Assistantship Program. Students must be accepted into the School of Music Graduate Program. Students will work closely with faculty and staff. Graduate Assistant duties include, but are not limited to, inventory management, course technology, collaborative chamber and ensemble rehearsals as well as performances.

10096 - Graduate Assistant:
Duties must be related to the student's field of study or provide professional development and will vary depending on the project and/or assigned responsibilities. Graduate Assistants may be assigned to professional staff in any department of the University.

Required Qualifications

Maximum appointment is limited to twenty (20) hours per week (50% FTE).

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must be admitted to the MM graduate degree program at UTRGV.

* Must be in good academic standing.

* Be registered full-time for the respective semester (nine semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine semester credit hours during the spring semester, three semester credit hours during the summer session or be performing supervised research with a UTRGV faculty member) or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements on the degree plan.
