Responsibilities:
* Assist with the development and facilitation of wellness programs, workshops, and events centered on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.
* Coordinate outreach initiatives such as classroom presentations, tabling events, awareness campaigns, and social media engagement.
* Collaborate with campus departments and student organizations to increase student engagement and promote wellness resources.
* Create educational materials, presentations, and promotional content related to student wellness topics.
* Support assessment efforts by tracking attendance, collecting feedback, and analyzing program participation data.
* Maintain accurate records, program calendars, and event documentation.
* Provide peer support and resource referrals to students when appropriate.
* Assist with special projects related to health promotion, prevention education, and student well-being initiatives.
* Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
* Commit to 20 hours a week on assigned duties including set office hours and tasks associated with assigned caseload.
* Exercise good judgment in representing the university and uphold the institutional standards.
* Other duties as assigned.
Examples of Programs/ Projects GA will Lead:
* Wellness workshops and presentations
* Stress management and self-care campaigns
* Financial wellness education events
* Peer wellness outreach initiatives
* Mental health awareness programming
* Social connection and belonging activities
* Wellness Weeks or campus-wide wellness fairs (in collaboration with UREC)
* Classroom outreach and student engagement campaigns
Learning Outcomes:
* Gain experience in student wellness programming and health promotion.
* Develop skills in assessment, outreach, and program evaluation.
* Strengthen leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
* Learn to apply student development and wellness theories in a higher education setting.
* Build experience working with diverse student populations and campus-wide initiatives.

Required Qualifications
The Graduate Assistant for Student Support & Well-being will support the development and implementation of programs and outreach initiatives focused on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness. This position helps promote student well-being through educational workshops, campus events, outreach activities, collaborations, and assessment efforts designed to increase student engagement and holistic wellness.
This position will require a background check and a signed agreement of client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
* Enrollment in a graduate degree program in Higher Education, Counseling, Public Health, Social Work, Health Promotion, Student Affairs, or a related field.
* Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with students and campus partners.
* Experience with event planning, outreach, or student engagement preferred.
* Knowledge or interest in wellness education and holistic student development.
* Familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms preferred.
Salary 1250.00
