Location: Prospective Middle School Campus
Date Available: April 21, 2025
Employment Status: Exempt
Length of Work Year: 226 days
Pay Grade: NTP
Salary Range: $91,532 – $129,026
Primary PurposeDirect and manage the instructional program and supervise operations and personnel at the campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service, oversee compliance with district policies, the success of instructional programs, and the operation of all campus activities.
Qualifications- TEA certification requirements
- Master’s degree in Educational Administration
- Texas Mid-management or other appropriate Texas certificate
- Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T‑TESS) Appraiser
- Three years of classroom teacher experience
- Three years of administrative experience
- Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Ability to coordinate campus functions
- Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Monitor instructional and managerial processes to ensure program activities are related to program outcomes and use findings to take corrective actions.
- Regularly consult the campus-level committee about planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of campus educational programs.
- Include students and community representatives in the school planning process when appropriate.
- Provide instructional resources and materials to support teaching staff in accomplishing instructional goals.
- Foster collegiality among staff members.
- Provide two-way communication with superintendent, staff, students, parents, and community.
- Communicate and promote expectations for high-level performance to staff and students.
- Recognize excellence and achievement.
- Ensure the effective and quick resolution of conflicts.
- Build common vision for school improvement with staff.
- Direct planning activities and put programs in place with staff to ensure attainment of the school’s mission.
- Identify, analyze, and apply research findings to promote school improvement.
- Develop and set annual campus performance objectives for each Academic Excellence Indicator.
- Maintain and use information systems and records to show campus progress on performance objectives.
- Interview, select, and orient new staff; approve all personnel assigned to campus.
- Define expectations for staff performance regarding instructional strategies, classroom management, and communication.
- Observe employee performance, record observations, and conduct evaluation conferences with staff.
- Recommend to superintendent on termination, suspension, or non-renewal of employees assigned to campus.
- Plan professional development activities with campus-level committees.
- Confer with subordinates about their professional growth and help them achieve improvement goals.
- Comply with district policies, state and federal laws, and regulations affecting the schools.
- Document and report personnel leave data.
- Develop campus budgets based on documented program needs.
- Keep programs within budget limits and maintain fiscal control.
- Accurately report fiscal information.
- Compile, maintain, and file required reports and records.
- Manage the use of school facilities and supervise maintenance.
- Direct extracurricular and intramural programs, including management of multiple activity funds.
- Develop a student discipline management system that promotes positive behavior and enhances school climate.
- Enforce school rules uniformly and ensure appropriate and equitable discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
- Conduct conferences about student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers.
