Scope of JobTo assist in the operation of Study Abroad Programs (SAPs), exercising independent judgment and authority as required.
Responsibilities- Coordinate Study Abroad Programs to ensure implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives, including planning, administration, and evaluation of short‑term and long‑term programs.
- Supervise and manage day‑to‑day activities and personnel of the assigned program, as applicable.
- Develop, coordinate, and supervise implementation of multiple projects or programs, recommending modifications to improve program effectiveness.
- Participate in budget planning and control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations, including preparing program cost estimates for short‑term SAPs.
- Assist in writing and developing proposals for funding grants, as applicable.
- Coordinate activities of the program: student advising, recruitment, nomination, application management, scholarship administration, program logistics, and pre‑departure requirements.
- Represent Education Abroad and the department at official university functions, recruitment events, study abroad fairs, presentations, conferences, seminars, and other outreach activities.
- Review program records and reports of activities and recommend modifications to methods or procedures as required.
- Develop and maintain brochures, reports, correspondence, agendas, promotional materials, contracts, and other program‑related documents.
- Assist with administration of the Education Abroad Scholarship applications, including processing applications and coordinating award notification with the Scholarship Office.
- Maintain the Education Abroad application management system (Via TRM), including updating application content, program brochures, reports, and related materials.
- Monitor student application progress and ensure required documentation is submitted, including Financial Commitment forms, Student Responsibilities Forms, Dean of Students travel forms, and other required pre‑departure documents.
- Provide ongoing staff development, on‑site demonstrations and field‑based experiences related to the program.
- Conduct formal training and provide instruction regarding program policies and procedures.
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain working relationships with internal/external departments, agencies, and other organizations associated with and/or benefit ting from the SAPs.
- May coordinate and oversee tutorial, counseling, teaching, or training activities of the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university.
Preferred EducationN/A
Required Experience- Three years of experience in program planning or coordination, or
- One year of required experience with a Master’s degree, or
- Five years of required experience with an Associate Degree or 60 hours of college credit, or
- Seven years of required experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Working ConditionsNormal office or classroom or outside environment. Some travel and weekend work may be required. Ability to drive locally or distantly for consultations, training, meetings or on‑site demonstrations. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and lift for retrieving/maintaining files and setting up multimedia equipment. Must be able to move between buildings, offices and classrooms.
