We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s student body as a Lecturer within the Department of Health and Human Performance beginning in the 2027‑2028 academic year. This in‑person teaching position is located at the Edinburg campus.

• Teach undergraduate courses in kinesiology or exercise science.
• Serve as field supervisor for practicums.
• Act as a student academic advisor.
• Participate on university, college, and departmental committees and task forces.
• Engage in community and professional service activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the department chair.
• Teach in various instructional formats (face‑to‑face, hybrid, online) as required by the distributed campus.

• Earned master’s or doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Record of success in teaching.
• Service record in the professional field.

• Master’s degree in kinesiology or exercise science preferred.
• Experience teaching at the college level or K‑12 school level with demonstrated excellence using varied teaching modalities.
• Service record in the professional field.

• College‑level teaching experience.
• K‑12 teaching experience with teacher certification.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Experience in curriculum development.
• Ability to teach a variety of lecture and activity courses in kinesiology.
