Scope of Job:We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a Lecturer I in the School of Integrative Biological and Chemical Sciences in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

The School of Integrative Biological and Chemical Sciences (SIBCS) is the home of the Biologyand Chemistry Programs CS cultivates the educationaland career goals of over 1300 undergraduate majors and 100 graduate students in our respective Biology and Chemistry programs. Theschool offers undergraduate majors in Biology, Chemistry and Masterof Science degrees in Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The school also supports early collegiate high school programs across the Rio Grande Valley.
To support theseendeavors SIBCS is home to over 80 faculty and 10 staff members
MS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with minimum of 18 hoursof graduate education in Biology or Chemistry fields is required.
Discipline SpecificRequired Qualifications:
We are seeking individuals that can teach undergraduate course sand/or Collegiate high school courses that support our Biology and Chemistry programs. These include but are not limited to the following:
- Anatomy and Physiology lecture and lab
- General Biologylecture and lab (undergraduate and high school)
- General Chemistrylecture and lab
- Chemistry for Engineers lecture and lab
- and Organic Chemistry lecture and lab
