Responsibilities:

• Engage in exclusive networking, research, and professional development activities; participate in cohort‑building events and maintain flexible schedules aligned with academic commitments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community members, university students, faculty, and staff involved in Puentes year 2 workshops; guide them on grant‑related questions and assignments.
• Assist with seminars, conferences, workshops, campus talks, and events under the Puentes grant.
• Learn about Mexican American studies and social justice; collaborate with faculty to develop syllabi and SWOT assignments that foster a sense of belonging in classrooms and centers.
• Manage time and assist principal investigators on research for grants assigned.
• Create graphic design materials (flyers, promotional items, website updates); apply Adobe and UTRGV media tools to maintain the grant program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be admitted to a graduate degree program.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Must be registered full‑time for the semester (nine semester credit hours in fall or spring, three in summer, or as required for the degree plan).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be able to engage in public speaking.
• Must be able to work individually and as a team.

Salary: $1,250.00 per month.
