Position: Part-Time Lecturer Health & Biomedical Sciences (Master of Science in Health Sciences) 2025-2026
We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a part-time lecturer beginning in the  academic year.

Part-time lecturers are paid per course taught commensurate with experience and/or qualifications and serve at the need of the program, department, and college.

Ability to teach health informatics coursework in the online setting, availability for UTRGV's required online teaching training, and the ability to hold online office hours/provide student support are required.

Minimum Qualifications

A doctoral or master's degree in a health profession, public health, health science, healthcare informatics, or healthcare administration. A master's degree in another health field/profession appropriate for the course subject matter may be considered. Applicants with a master's degree must have 3 years' work experience or one peer-reviewed, scholarly publication in the field. One year of experience teaching public health, health science professions/disciplines, healthcare informatics, or healthcare administration courses.

Candidates must demonstrate current certification or credentialing in healthcare informatics or a closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualification

Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as technology skills, are required. Online teaching experience in healthcare informatics-related coursework preferred, along with Quality Matters APPQMR certification.
