Scope of Job
To perform advanced program administration, development, implementation, and coordination of university-wide student success initiatives supporting student degree progress and timely graduation. Responsible for all phases of program and initiative development and coordination of complex projects and program activities.
Description of Duties
- Administers, coordinates, and manages activities involved in assigned university-wide student success programs, initiatives, and projects supporting student degree progress and timely graduation.
- Develops and implements standards for attainment of all assigned program and initiative goals and objectives.
- Maintains frequent interaction with university departments, faculty, academic college leadership, and external agencies in administering programs, initiatives, and projects.
- Serves as a member of the Degree Progress & Graduation Initiatives ( DPGI ) leadership team; develops strategies, oversees assigned programs and initiatives, and supports the implementation of university initiatives and operational efforts.
- Tracks trends and patterns related to barriers to degree progress, timely graduation, and student success, and recommends new policies, procedures, or strategies to improve outcomes for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Oversees the development and review of communications, presentations, training materials, and other program materials related to assigned initiatives.
- Provides guidance and training for faculty and campus partners regarding initiatives, projects, academic policies and procedures, or student success efforts.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and training to assigned staff/team and evaluates performance.
- Prepares abstracts, reports, funding proposals, operations and procedures written materials, and documentation for assigned initiatives or institutional efforts.
- Conducts marketing assessments for assigned initiatives or projects.
- Plans and leads meetings, workshops, training sessions, events, and presentations which may involve multiple university departments and external partners.
- Coordinates and oversees event logistics, including facility arrangements, departmental participation, schedules, communications, marketing, student engagement, vendors, and program materials.
- Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities for programs and events.
- Assists with budget planning, purchasing, vendor coordination and oversees financial management of assigned program and event activities.
- Determines work priorities and exercises independent judgment to resolve issues to assigned programs, initiatives, and projects.
- Works on special projects as assigned.
- Attends and participates in professional development activities and stays up to date on best practices, policies, and emerging trends related to student success.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited University.
Preferred Education
Master’s Degree in a related field from an accredited University.
Licenses/Certifications
None.
Required Experience
- Five (5) years of experience performing closely related duties, including program planning/coordination, or administration in student success, academic advising, higher education administration, project management or related experience in the appropriate field of the program, or
- Three (3) years of the required experience with a Master’s degree, or
- Seven (7) years of the required experience with an Associate degree or 60 hours of College Credit, or
