Description

The Licensed Vocational Nurse performs technical nursing duties and provides direct assistance to the physician under the supervision of the Medication Clinic Supervisor. This may require being reassigned to other Med Clinics whenever needed. The position includes performing a variety of patient care activities that include, but are not limited to; administration of intra-muscular injections and medical treatments, obtaining and recording vital signs as well as conducting medication education, symptom management, health teaching and other Med Clinic related activities.

This position also includes providing TB test and Hepatitis B vaccination to all Center employees.

Required to participate in Clinical Supervision sessions via the assigned Medication Clinic Prescriber Supervisor to meet the required monthly clinical standards regarding the LVN's clinical duties and performance.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas plus one year of work experience as an LVN in a recognized health agency, hospital, or health care facility. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
