Pay

$10.75 to $13.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process!

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.80 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans and other transactions. They work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and many more.

The Full‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay will be based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked and display merchandise.
• Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items per policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math calculation proficiency.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance.

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
