Salary Range: $19.20 minimum – $27.35 maximum

The Plumber is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all plumbing systems as assigned.

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Journeyman's license required; may substitute with irrigation license and/or 5 years plumbing experience
• Able to read blueprints and schematics
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable

• Maintain all plumbing systems in good working condition.
• Perform services needed for plumbing such as repairing water leaks, repairing or replacing pipes, equipment, or fixtures.
• Make minor installations as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain heating equipment in compliance with all Federal-Slate Commission and Insurance requirements.
• Perform irrigation duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• District vehicle, two-way radio, backhoe, trenching machine, rooter rotor, electric hand tools, and soldering torch.

• Frequent district travel, strenuous bending, climbing, and walking, working in extreme weather conditions, working on slippery uneven surfaces, and exposure to toxic fumes and chemicals.
