Equipment Operator I
Location:
Edinburg, TX (zip 78541).
Pay: $15.05 per hour.

ResponsibilitiesOperate light‑to‑heavy construction equipment such as rollers, graders, backhoes, front‑end loaders, forklifts, dump trucks, and bulldozers. Maintain equipment, perform preventative maintenance inspections and minor repairs. Complete daily reports and other documentation. Coordinate work on construction, hauling, industrial service, and maintenance projects, including trash and debris collection services. Respond to emergency incidents such as floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, accidents, and hazardous‑material spills.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience operating light equipment and thorough knowledge of safety procedures.
- Current, valid class "C" driver’s license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
- Good driving record and insurable by the city’s carrier.
Applicants will be subject to a complete background investigation and must provide accurate information; inaccurate or incomplete information will result in rejection. Applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the city’s expense.
