Child Nutrition Truck Driver

The Child Nutrition Truck Driver is responsible for the distribution of commodities and supplies to all Food Service Kitchens.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED preferred
• Must have and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License and be insurable
• Good driving record
• Random Drug Testing
• Lift 30 pounds continuously and occasionally up to 75 pounds
• Capable of working well with others

Major

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Distribution of commodities and supplies to all Child Nutrition kitchens
• Quality checks on all the outgoing inventory and supplies before distribution
• Quality checks of the maintenance of Child Nutrition vans and ensure they are neat, clean and sanitary
• Works in warehouse and maintains a clean, neat and sanitary environment
• Preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment during summers
• Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Equipment Used:

• District vehicles, pallet jack, vehicle lift, dolly

Working Conditions:

Continual standing, walking, pushing, and pulling: frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing (ladder), moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; moderate exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
