Heritage Portfolio are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

It is one of the world’s leading botanical gardens, home to a spectacular and diverse living collection of plants. Set in the most beautiful of surroundings. Our emphasis is on fresh, delicious food prepared daily on site using local and seasonal produce including fruit, vegetables and herbs grown right here in our very own Botanic Kitchen Garden!

You should be able to provide and maintain an efficient, clean, safe working environment in all kitchens and back of house areas. To follow responsibilities as defined in cleaning schedule.

What you’ll do:

• Comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the service yard including but not limited to, stacking all kitchen delivery boxes, pallets, cages in designated areas. Sweeping yard including smoking area, ensuring bin storage area is tidy
• Maintain the upkeep and tidiness of the outdoor kitchen and equipment through daily checking. Kitchen should remain clean, tidy and organized every day according to the Company’s standards and to the agreed specification of the client
• Receive and check in all cleaning and disposable goods and check against invoice for quality and quantity
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Keep all work areas and surfaces clean and tidy at all times. Assist with routine cleaning schedules as required and ensure high standards of personal performance, hygiene, appearance and cleanliness at all times
• Ensure the kitchen is closed to the highest level of cleanliness in accordance to Health & Safety Laws, company policy and client expectation.

• Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour
